Last night, the much-anticipated GP’s Restaurant & Bar opened its doors in the Hamilton Park area of downtown Jersey City. The family has owned restaurants in Hudson County since 1934. GP’s other location in Guttenberg has been there since 1977.
Serving “home cooked Italian comfort foods,” the Jersey City menu includes small plates like a variety of crostini, small pressed sandwiches and antipasti. Main courses include things like pasta, GP’s Famous Meatballs and various seafood and meat dishes. They will also offer outdoor seating and weekend brunch.
